        Welcome to "i w a n t c h i n e s e f o o d . c o m." I decided to create this web site after I looked at many web sites and found them great and exciting but also lacking a critical component. Many dot com sites are interesting, innovative and filled with lots of useful information. However, when it comes to food and recipes, very few offer the opportunity to execute the recipe immediately because the reader lacks the proper ingredients to try out the recipe. I found this especially true with Chinese food. Many of my friends would walk into the grocery stores of Chinatown (New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver [British Columbia]) and didn't know how to use the various canned goods, dried goods, sauces, vegetables, etc. I decided to link to two components together. At this web site you will find recipes, some background about them and how to order ingredients so that you can replicate these recipes at home without hunting around for the ingredients.

        When it come to recipes and products, I will try to give you as much information as possible concerning sodium, carbohydrates, calories, fat, etc.  Believe it or not there are many Chinese products that do not use monosodium glutamate (MSG) in making their goods and some products are even low in sodium!  As we become more conscious of what we eat and how we eat, I think it is important to be informed about the nutritional values of recipes and food content.
